Landskrona
SACS should have played Landskrona CC on 29th May 2005 in Malmö as part of our involvement in the Swedish Championship (league). Unfortunately things worked out differently.
Landskrona conceded the game to SACS. The SACS tour party were due to play the league game on Sunday 29th May at 11am. The evening before, Landskrona contacted SACS and requested the game to start later as, according to them, a football match was to be played on the pitch in the morning. Arriving early on Sunday the SACS tour party discovered Landskrona playing Lund (Academic Cricket Sällskap) instead. After an exchange of views between Marcus Bringzén and the Landskrona captain Landskrona agreed to concede the game, and 22 points, to SACS, thus massively boosting our chances of a semi-final slot.
Malmöhus CC
The day before the Landskrona scandal (above) SACS played Malmöhus CC in a friendly match. We were comprehensively thumped but Malmöhus are a nice bunch of lads so we don't mind too much.
They came, they met Landskrona, and then they came home.
