For many years SACS used a green area near Stockholm University to play matches on. Unfortunately we have improved and can no longer play on unrolled, barely mown fields for reasons of safety. Although we are actively investigating alternative home pitches (see Development), for the time being we are a wandering club. Below you can find directions to the pitches we use most often for home matches:
Just behind the rugby pitch, hidden away, is Stockholm CCs old pitch. Decaying and incorrectly positioned, the pitch nevertheless is useful for friendlies, Academic Cup matches and summer training. Free car parking!
Located in Folkets Park, next to Rinkebysvängen, and not to be confused with Pakistan CC's pitch less than half a kilometer south, this former gravel track (now asphalt for 2005) has a lovely location in a valley between Rinkeby and Tensta. Maintained by Spånga CC. Some free parking.
Located next to Spånga Kyrkväg, on the left before you get to Spånga Idrottsplats (travelling from the E18). Concrete and has good, even bounce. Maintained by Pakistan CC. Parking is difficult - it is not unknown for players to drive down the pedestrian-only paths and park by the dagis, but this is of course completely illegal and not condoned by SACS.
Nestling between the charming Brunna Skola, the Hålligång badminton hall, and the quaint E4 motorway, Hallunda pitch in Botkyrka used to be a decent concrete strip. In recent years the pitch has crumbled at the ends and the outfield has suffered from use by football teams. It's still better than Årsta though. Find Botkyrkaleden on the map and you should be able to find this pitch. Free parking (use the Hålligång car park! The locals get very upset if you park by the school). Maintained by Jinnah CC.
